Investigative Process
Defensible electronic discovery relies heavily upon a standardized methodology that has been accepted by the courts. Our investigative process strictly adheres to a rigid, scientific, consistent investigative process that is internationally recognized and completely unbiased. We report all findings of our computer forensic investigations in our search for the key facts of your case. Whether the information is incriminating or exculpatory, it is our duty to report the evidence in a dispassionate manner.

Forensically Sound. Scientifically Sound.
We conduct digital investigations using only forensically sound investigative methods and procedures. When you employ a computer forensics firm ensure they adhere to the following examination standards:
  • All examinations are conducted using forensically sterile examination media
  • The integrity of the original media is carefully preserved.
  • All exhibits, reports and analyses are clear, concise and legally defensible in a court of law.
  • All examinations are conducted in a completely impartial, neutral manner.
In order to ensure that our investigations are scientifically sound and forensically valid, we utilize only the most up-to-date forensic software and forensically sound computer hardware. The computer forensic software and techniques we use have been validated by numerous trial and appellate court rulings. Each examination is initiated using freshly installed operating system and forensic software. This ensures that there is absolutely no chance of cross-contamination between examinations.
Chain of Custody
We carefully maintain chain of custody documents throughout the entire life cycle of each case. This ensures that our work cannot be attacked on a technicality in court.

Each and every investigation rigorously adheres to a strict code of ethics laid out by the only Internationally recognized computer forensics body, the IACIS.

IACIS Forensic Code of Ethical Conduct
In order to conduct a forensically valid and legally sound investigation a high degree of care is required. There is simply no way to rush this process.
When conducting examinations, integrity of evidence and legal admissibility of the evidence are our key priorities.
The exceptional standards of forensic rigor that are demanded by our staff preclude anything but a thorough examination.
We conduct every computer forensics examination as if it will end up in court. This necessitates an extremely thorough note taking and reporting process.
